GRAND PRAIRIE -- Five people have been arrested after police say they committed murder, then used arson in two different counties to try and cover it up.

Back on April 10, Grand Prairie police and fire officials were called to a house fire in the 800 block of Manor. They determined that a homicide had taken place inside the home, and a fire was set intentionally to cover it up.

Two days later, a burned Chevy Tahoe was found in Erath County with a charred body inside, believed to be the victim of the Grand Prairie murder.

For the next 10 days, Grand Prairie police and Erath County deputies worked with fellow law enforcement agencies to track down the suspects.

Five people connected to the crime were found in Fort Worth and Waco late Thursday night and were arrested.

Additional charges are pending, but they have all been charged with murder. They've been identified as:

  • Elizabeth Delude, 25
  • Claire Harrington, 40
  • Clayton Miller, 34
  • Christopher Cornell, 33
  • Paul Rogers, 41

The homicide victim has not been identified.
