6-year-old boy drowns in pool in west Fort Worth

A 6-year-old boy drowned in a pool at an apartment complex in west Fort Worth on Sunday afternoon, according to officials.

Police responded to the incident at the Park at Bellevue Apartments in the 9000 block of Brian Way Circle.

The child was identified as Kash Kinney, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner.

He was found at the bottom of the pool, Fire Department spokesman Kyle Clay said. CPR was performed on the boy, and he was taken to Cook Children's hospital, where was pronounced dead.

Also on Sunday afternoon, the body of a 40-year-old woman was recovered from Lake Ray Hubbard, Texas Game Wardens said. Crews had been searching for the woman since Saturday when she jumped into the lake without a life jacket.

On Saturday, a 3-year-old girl drowned in Lake Lewisville during a family gathering at Little Elm Park, officials said.
