The shooting happened about 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of Gaylord Parkway and John Hickman Parkway, according to a police news release.

A person in a pickup truck opened fire on another motorist in a possible road rage incident in Frisco on Friday night, striking the man and sending him to the hospital, police said.

The shooting happened about 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of Gaylord Parkway and John Hickman Parkway, according to a police news release.

Someone in a dark-color pickup truck shot at the victim, and then drove away from the scene before police arrived. The shooter, who was in a truck that had white writing or stickers on the back window and a loud muffler, was last seen driving toward the Dallas North Tollway, police said.

The victim, who suffered non-life threatening injuries, was taken to a Plano hospital. A woman was a passenger in the vehicle and was not injured.
