About 100 motorcycles were 'popping wheelies' before Southlake crash, police say

The wreck happened Saturday afternoon near the Northwest Highway bridge at the Grapevine-Southlake border, according to a Tweet from the Southlake Department of Public Safety.

A pack of 100 motorcycles were reportedly doing stunts and "popping wheelies" on Texas 114 near Southlake before one of them wrecked out, backing up traffic for about an hour Saturday, police said.

The wreck happened Saturday afternoon near the Northwest Highway bridge at the Grapevine-Southlake border, according to a Tweet from the Southlake Department of Public Safety.

It was unknown how many people were injured. Ambulances were heading to the scene about 5:30 p.m., according to police.

The crash was cleared by 6:20 p.m.
