MANSFIELD, Texas — A Mansfield police officer is injured after the police car she was driving collided with another vehicle near Heritage Parkway and Texas Toll Road 360 Saturday night, Mansfield Police said.
The officer was responding to an officer-assist call around 6:50 p.m. with sirens on. While en route, she collided with another vehicle. The other driver refused EMS treatment and was walking around after the crash, police said. The other driver is not being charged with anything at this time.
The police officer involved in the crash saiid one of her legs was in pain, so she was taken to a nearby emergency room, where she is currently being taken care of. Police said she is thought to have only minor injuries.
No dashcam video is available at this time, police said.
