Johnson County Sheriffs Office seize nearly 50 head of cattle after finding them starved, abused

The animals are currently under medical care and are being housed and fed at a new location, sheriffs say.

JOHNSON COUNTY, Texas — The Johnson County Sheriff's Office seized about 47 head of cattle from a Grandview property after a case of animal cruelty was reported at that location, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office

Sheriffs took the cattle from a property on Farm to Market Road 916 and County Road 204 on Feb. 15 after a complaint on Valentine's Day. 

The animals are currently under medical care and are being housed and fed at a new location, sheriffs say.

The investigation into this case is still ongoing.
