BEDFORD, Texas — Officials have closed the eastbound lanes of Texas Highway 183 due to a deadly crash that killed at least one person early Tuesday morning, according to Bedford police.
Police said they expect road closures at Bedford Road during the rush hour commute. The road remained closed by 9 a.m.
A white Chevy SUV was heading eastbound when it cut across several lanes of traffic and tried to exit. The vehicle cut in front of a semi carrying rocks that pushed the SUV into a concrete barrier and the SUV caught fire.
Police are investigating the crash at this time.
