14-year-old shot and killed in Oak Cliff, police say

Witnesses told police that several other people were at the scene when the victim was shot.

DALLAS — A 14-year-old boy was shot and killed in Oak Cliff on Wednesday, police said.

Officers responded about 12:50 p.m. to the 3800 block of South Tyler Street, near U.S. 67 and Interstate 35E.

When they arrived, they found Rubin Washington with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Methodist Central Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police that several other people were at the scene when the victim was shot.
