Suspected road rage incident ends in front of Dallas jail

DALLAS — Updated at 11:15 a.m. to reflect new information from police. 

A suspected road rage incident that started in Fort Worth ended in front of the Dallas County jail. 

Dallas authorities called Fort Worth police around 5:20 a.m. about six people in custody at Riverfront Boulevard and Commerce Street, according to Fort Worth officials. 

Officers found shell casings near the 9000 block of Conestoga Drive near Blue Mound Road in northwest Fort Worth. They believe a shooting that occurred there is linked to the incident that ended in front of the Dallas County jail, Fort Worth police said. 

Police believe the suspects chased someone into Dallas and believe the incident may be gang related, Fort Worth police said.
