DALLAS — Firefighters battled a three-alarm apartment fire early Sunday morning in north Dallas.
The fire was first reported just before 3 a.m. at the Buena Vista Apartments off Esperanza Road. Arriving firefighters found fire coming from the second and third stories of an 18-unit apartment building.
As the fire spread to the attic, firefighters had to back out of the building and fight the fire from the outside. Two apartment residents were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and are expected to be OK.
