Arlington police investigating rash of laptop thefts from Starbucks stores

Police have released surveillance images from one of the latest laptop thefts.

ARLINGTON, Texas — Police are investigating at least a dozen reports of stolen Apple MacBook laptops this year from multiple Starbucks locations in North Texas.

Police said two suspects targeted various Starbucks locations in Arlington.

The men would stand near customers using laptops. They would then reach down and grab the computers, run out of the stores and flee the scene in cars waiting for them.

Arlington police posted surveillance video of a theft that happened on Feb. 13. The victim was sitting at a desk while using her laptop when one of the suspects came up to her and snatched it before running out of the store.
