Heat and humidity return for Father's Day weekend

Warmer temperatures, higher humidity and a chance for showers and storms on Father's Day.

A pleasant start to the week will give way to hot and humid weather over the weekend. 

For Tuesday, a mix of clouds and sunshine and still pleasant. Highs only in the lowers 80's. It's another comfortable night under mostly clear skies and lows dipping into the mid 60's. 

There is a slight chance for showers and storms early Wednesday morning, mainly northwest of D/FW. A weakening cluster of storms may move southeast into North Texas after midnight. No strong or severe storms are expected. Otherwise partly sunny skies and warmer with highs in the upper 80's.

By Friday the 90's make a come back along with increasing humidity. We'll also see a few showers and storms on Father's Day, especially over the eastern portions of North Texas.   

TODAY: A mix of high clouds and sunshine. Winds: NE 5-10. High: 83.

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and comfortable. Winds: SE 5-10. Low: 65.

WEDNESDAY: A slight chance for showers/storms, mainly northwest of D/FW during the morning. Partly sunny skies and warmer. Winds: NW 5-10. High: 87.
