Crews implode 9-story building in Uptown Dallas

Crews are expected to reopen nearby roads by 12 p.m. Sunday.

DALLAS — A 9-story building was imploded Sunday morning in Uptown Dallas. The implosion happened at the 2727 block of Turtle Creek Boulevard. 

Crews began blocking off roads as early as Saturday morning on Turtle Creek Boulevard to prepare for the implosion. 

Turtle Creek Boulevard between Gillespie and Fairmont Streets was closed off around 5 a.m. Sunday. 

Crews are expected to reopen all roads by 12 p.m.
