Here are the confirmed cases of coronavirus in Tarrant County

The first case of COVID-19 in Tarrant County was reported on March 10.

More than 140,000 people across North Texas have tested positive for COVID-19, and health officials have reported nearly 1,750 deaths from the disease.

The first local case was announced on March 9 in Collin County, and the first case appeared in Tarrant County on March 10.

As of Aug. 16: 37,760 positive cases, 459 deaths, 28,120 recoveries 

  • On Aug. 16: Tarrant County officials said there were 348 additional cases reported due to a state data backlog, in addition to the 340 new cases the county saw Sunday. The county has had 37,760 total cases reported, with 459 deaths. Currently, around 391 people are hospitalized with the disease, while 28,120 have recovered so far, officials said.
  • On Aug. 9: Tarrant County officials reported 490 new confirmed cases and one probable case. Recoveries now stand at 22,083 people of the 33,860 recorded cases since March. 
  • On Aug. 7: Tarrant County health officials reported 3 new deaths and 291 additional cases. The latest victims include a man in his 80s from Grand Prairie, a man in his 80s from Grapevine, and a man in his 40s from Mansfield. County health officials said all three patients had underlying health conditions. Tarrant County now has 414 confirmed deaths and 20,329 recoveries since tracking began in March.
  • On Aug. 4: Tarrant County health officials reported 805 newly confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus and five additional deaths, bringing the countywide total to 30,162 cases, including 396 deaths. 
  • On Aug. 3: Tarrant County health officials reported 303 newly confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus Saturday, bringing the total case count to 29,357 since tracking began in March. Officials said so far, 391 residents have died from COVID-19, and 16,882 residents have recovered.
  • On Aug. 2: Tarrant County health official reported 183 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19. The new cases bring the countywide total to 29,054, which includes 391 deaths and 16,033 recoveries.
  • On Aug. 1: Tarrant County health officials reported 461 newly confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus Saturday, bringing the total case count to 28,871 since tracking began in March. Officials said so far, 388 residents have died from COVID-19, and 15,182 residents have recovered.
  • On July 30: Tarrant County health official reported 672 newly confirmed cases and eight additional deaths from COVID-19 Thursday, July 30.  The new cases bring the countywide total to 27,823, which includes 363 deaths and 13,648 recoveries.
  • On July 29: County officials said another 836 cases had been reported, along with six more deaths. That raises the county's totals to 27,151 cases and 355 deaths since March. At least 13,613 people have reportedly recovered.
  • On July 28: Tarrant County health officials reported one new death related to COVID-19 Tuesday, July 28. The victim was a man in his 70s from Arlington who had underlying health conditions, according to officials.
    Tarrant County now has 349 confirmed deaths. 13,574 people have recovered since tracking began in March, according to health officials. The county also reported 576 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 26,315 since tracking began in March.
  • On July 27: Tarrant County health officials reported 240 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths Monday, July 27, bringing the total number of confirmed cases since tracking began in March to 25,739.

    So far, 13,498 people have recovered from COVID-19 and 348 people have died from it in Tarrant County.

  • On July 26: County officials said another 353 cases had been reported, along with four more deaths. That raises the county's totals to 25,499 cases and 348 deaths since March. At least 12,549 people have reportedly recovered. 
  • On July 25: Tarrant County health officials reported a record-high of 15 coronavirus-related deaths Saturday, bringing the total to 344. Officials say the following victims had underlying health conditions: A woman in her 80s, three men in their 80s, and two women in their 90s, all from Grapevine. A woman in her 60s and a woman in her 90s, both from Arlington. Two men in their 80s, two women in their 50s, and a man in his 60s, all from Fort Worth. Two men in their 70s, both from Lake Worth. Health officials also announced 584 new cases Saturday afternoon. According to the county's COVID-19 dashboard, 11,956 residents have recovered since tracking began in March.
  • On July 24: Tarrant County health officials reported 10 additional COVID-19 deaths and 595 new positive cases Friday afternoon. Officials said all but one of the patients had underlying health conditions. There have been 329 confirmed deaths and 11,710 people have recovered in Tarrant County since tracking began in March.
  • On July 23: Tarrant County health officials reported nine coronavirus-related deaths Thursday. The victims range from a man in his 40s to several patients in their 70s. All but one person had underlying health conditions, officials said.

    County officials also reported 431 new cases, bringing the countywide total to 23,967 since tracking began in March. According to the county's COVID-19 dashboard, there are 702 patients hospitalized due to coronavirus, and 11,680 residents have recovered. 

  • On July 21: Tarrant County health officials reported 663 new COVID-19 cases and five deaths Tuesday. This brings the countywide total to 22,665 cases since tracking began in March. The latest victims include a woman in her 60s, a man in his 50s, a man in his 90s, and a man in his 80s, all from Fort Worth, and a man in his 80s from Arlington. Health officials say all of the patients had underlying health conditions. More than 10,000 county residents have recovered from the disease and 304 have died, according to health officials. According to the county's COVID-19 dashboard, 683 people are currently hospitalized because of the novel coronavirus.
  • On July 19: Tarrant County's death toll increased by five people to 298, the third-largest in the state since tracking began. Officials also reported 422 new cases, raising the county's total to 21,617 reported cases with 10,382 recoveries since March.
  • On July 18: Tarrant County health official reported 288 newly confirmed cases and five additional deaths from COVID-19 Saturday, July 8.  The new cases bring the countywide total to 21,195, which includes 293 deaths and 10,382 recoveries.
  • On July 14: For the second day in a row, no new deaths related to coronavirus are being reported in Tarrant County. According to the latest numbers on the county's COVID-19 dashboard, 531 new cases are being reported Tuesday. Although the county has gone two days without reporting any new deaths, officials say the number of patients hospitalized has increased. There are currently 645 people in the hospital versus 626 reported on Monday. More than 9,000 county residents have recovered from the disease since tracking began in March. 
  • On July 12: County officials said another 404 people have now tested positive. Four more people died in the county as well, though officials have not yet released any details on those who died. There are currently around 694 people hospitalized with the disease in the county, more than triple the number of patients a month ago on June 12, which was around 209, according to county data. 
  • On July 10: Tarrant County health officials reported 634 cases and three new deaths. The victims include a woman in her 80s from Euless, and a woman in her 60s and a man in his 80s, both from Fort Worth. County officials say all of the victims had underlying health conditions. As of Friday afternoon, there are 635 patients in the hospital because of the novel coronavirus. There have been 7,730 recoveries and 262 deaths since tracking began in March. 
  • On July 8: Tarrant County health officials reported 595 new cases of COVID-19 and six deaths Wednesday afternoon. The victims ranged from men in their 60s to a woman in her 90s. All of the victims had underlying health conditions, officials say. The number of hospitalizations related to COVID-19 also increased by 50 patients, bringing the countywide total to 635.
  • On July 7: Tarrant County health officials reported 757 additional positive cases of COVID-19 and 10 new deaths on Tuesday.The deaths include a man in his 80s, a woman in her 50s, a man in his 30s and a man in his 70s, all from Fort Worth; two women in their 80s from Mansfield, a woman in her 80s and a man in his 60s, both from Arlington and a man in his 90s and a man in his 50s, both from Grand Prairie. All had underlying health conditions, health officials said. There have been 248 deaths and 15,585 positive cases in the county since tracking began in March. There have been 6,686 recoveries.
  • On July 6: Officials reported 820 new cases for the period between July 3 and July 5, raising the county total to 14,828 since tracking began. 
  • On July 5: County officials reported 585 new cases and 3 deaths Sunday for July 2's case count. The numbers normally would have been reported Friday, July 3, but the county did not report the past two days because of the July 4th holiday. The numbers for July 3 through July 5 will be shared Monday. Hospitalizations, which are current, are at 533 people in the county. That number is up 172% since June 5. 
  • On July 2: Tarrant County health officials reported 473 new coronavirus cases Thursday and two additional deaths. An Arlington woman in her 80s and a Fort Worth woman in her 70s were the latest coronavirus-related casualties in the county, officials said. Both had underlying health conditions. 

    The county has tallied 233 confirmed deaths from COVID-19 since tracking began in March. 

  • On July 1: Health officials reported 606 new cases Wednesday, reaching an all-time high for cases reported in a day. The previous record was reported Tuesday with 605 cases. There have been 12,950 cases in the county since tracking began in March. Three additional deaths were reported, bringing the total deaths to 231. The deaths were a Mansfield man in his 60s, a Fort Worth woman in her 50s and a Fort Worth woman in her 60s. All had underlying health conditions.

  • On June 30: Officials announced three new deaths, all from Arlington. Two victims were women in their 50s, and the third was a man in his 70s. Each had underlying health conditions. 
  • On June 28: Officials reported 393 new cases on Sunday. A Fort Worth man in his 50s with underlying health conditions was the latest coronavirus casualty in the county as officials reported one new death.
  • On June 27: Tarrant County Public Health reported 377 new cases and two more COVID-19 related deaths Saturday. The two deaths include a Haltom City man in his 30s and a Saginaw man in his 50s. Health officials say it’s unknown if either man had underlying health conditions. Tarrant County now has confirmed 11,083 positive cases, including 224 deaths and 5,012 recoveries since tracking began in March.
  • On June 26: Tarrant County health officials reported 343 new coronavirus cases on Friday, a drop from the record high of 517 reported Thursday. The county also reported four additional deaths but did not release detailed information on the people who had died from COVID-19. There have been 10,706 cases of the coronavirus tallied since tracking began in March in Tarrant County. Health officials have reported 222 people in the county have died from COVID-19.
  • On June 24: Tarrant County once again broke the highest single-day record for COVID-19 cases with 460 cases reported Wednesday afternoon, bringing the countywide case count to 9,846. Tarrant County Public Health also reported four additional deaths, bringing the total count to 215. 
  • On June 23: Officials reported 260 new cases, raising the county total to 9,386 since tracking began in March. One additional death was reported, raising the death toll to 211. The county saw a spike of 50 new hospitalizations, an increase of nearly 20%, rising from 268 on June 22 to 318. 
  • On June 22: Officials said 171 more people have tested positive for the virus.

    While the new number was a significant decrease from the day before, it more closely matched previous reporting from the past week. Two more people died in the county, officials reported.There are currently 268 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Tarrant County.

  • On June 21: Tarrant County health officials reported a record 444 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the countywide total to 8,955 cases since tracking began in March. 
  • On June 20: Tarrant County health officials reported 180 new cases and one additional death related to COVID-19. There have been 4,087 residents who have recovered since tracking began in March.
  • On June 19: Tarrant County health officials reported 232 new cases and 2 more deaths related to COVID-19. According to county health officials, the number of patients hospitalized dropped to 263. On Thursday, officials had reported record-high hospitalizations with 283 patients. There have been 3,691 residents who have recovered since testing began in March.
  • On June 18: Tarrant County health officials reported 277 new cases and 6 more deaths related to COVID-19. The victims include a man in his 80s, a woman in her 50s and a woman in her 90s, all from Keller, a woman in her 50s and a woman in her 80s, both from Arlington and a man in his 80s from Mansfield.  All of the victims had underlying health conditions, officials say. 
  • On June 17: Tarrant County Public Health reported one additional death and 180 new cases, bringing the county total to 7,822 positive cases and 199 deaths since tracking began in March. There have been 3,427 recoveries.
  • On June 16: Officials reported one new death and 144 new cases, bringing the county total to 7,642 people who have tested positive since tracking began in March. The latest victim is a Crowley woman in her 70s who had no underlying health conditions. There are currently 220 people hospitalized in the county with the disease, an increase of 16 over the day before. 
  • On June 13: Tarrant County Public Health reported 3 additional deaths related to COVID-19. The victims include a woman in her 80s from Mansfield, a man in his 50s from Hurst, and a woman in her 80s from Arlington. Officials say all but one of the victims had underlying health conditions. There have been 194 confirmed deaths and 3,110 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Tarrant County.
  • On June 12: Tarrant County health officials announced that 296 more residents tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Officials say 197 of the 296 cases reported Friday are from a backlog due to a “lab reporting issue.” County officials also confirmed one new death. There have been 191 deaths and 3,053 recoveries in Tarrant County since testing began in March.
  • On June 11: Tarrant County health officials reported one new death related to COVID-19 Thursday afternoon. The Hurst man had underlying health conditions, officials said. Health officials reported 225 additional cases in the county, bringing the total in the county to 6,824 cases. According to county officials, there have been 190 confirmed deaths from COVID-19 since testing began in March and 2,938 people have recovered.
  • On June 10: Tarrant County health officials reported five new deaths related to COVID-19. The victims include a man in his 80s from Arlington, a man in his 80s from Benbrook, and two men in their 60s, and a man in his 50s, all from Fort Worth. Officials say all of the victims had underlying health conditions. As of Wednesday afternoon, there are 216 patients hospitalized, which is the highest number of hospitalizations since May 20 when there were 217. According to county officials, there have been 189 confirmed deaths from COVID-19 since testing began in March and 2,897 people have recovered.
  • On June 9: Tarrant County Public Health announced six additional deaths related to COVID-19. The deceased include a woman in her 70s, a woman in her 50s and a man in his 80s, all from Fort Worth, and a woman in her 80s, a man in his 90s and a man in his 80s, all from Arlington.  All had underlying health conditions. Tarrant County now has 184 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 virus. 2,864 people have recovered.
  • On June 5: Tarrant County Public Health announced one more person has died from COVID-19 Friday, bringing the confirmed total of deaths to 174 since tracking began in March. The victim was a Fort Worth man in his 50s with underlying health conditions. Officials also reported 122 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the countywide total to 5,985 cases. Of that total, at least 2,518 have recovered.
  • On June 3: Tarrant County health officials reported one death and 138 new cases of the novel coronavirus.
  • On June 1: Tarrant County health officials reported 21 new positive cases of novel coronavirus, bringing the total to 5,463 cases and 165 deaths. Health officials also said the total amount of those recovered is now 2,324.
  • On May 30: Tarrant County health officials reported 84 new cases and five more deaths. The deaths include a Fort Worth man in his 80s, two Fort Worth women in their 60s, a Bedford man in his 60s, and an Arlington man in his 40s.
  • On May 29: Tarrant County health officials reported 85 new cases and two more deaths. The two victims include a man in his 90s from Bedford and a woman in her 70s from Fort Worth. Officials say both patients had underlying health conditions. Since testing began in March, Tarrant County has confirmed 160 deaths and 2,220 recoveries.
  • On May 27: Tarrant County health officials announced Wednesday that 11 more residents have died from COVID-19. Those victims include a man in his 60s, a man in his 80s, two women in their 70s, and two women in their 80s, all from Fort Worth; a man in his 80s from Arlington, a woman in her 80s and a man over 90, both from Keller, a man in his 70s from Mansfield and a woman in her 90s from White Settlement. County health officials say all but one of the patients had underlying health conditions. 
  • On May 26: Officials reported 62 new cases, raising the county total to 5,039 people who have tested positive. Of those, 1,912 have recovered so far. There are currently 167 people hospitalized with the disease, a decrease of about 50 people since May 20.
  • On May 24: Tarrant County Public Health announced there were 26 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 4,977 since tracking began in March. There have been 144 deaths in the county. The latest death was a Fort Worth woman in her 80s who had underlying health conditions.
  • On May 23: Tarrant County Public Health reported two additional deaths and 52 additional positive cases of COVID-19. Both deaths were men who had underlying health conditions. There have been 4,951 positive cases in the county since tracking began in March. There have been 143 deaths in the county and 1,832 recoveries.
  • On May 22: Tarrant County Public Health announced that two more people have died from COVID-19. Those deaths include a Fort Worth man in his 60s and a Watauga woman in her 40s. One had underlying health issues, according to the department. Health officials also confirmed there were 96 new positive cases of COVID-19.
  • On May 20: Tarrant County Public Health announced that two more people have died from COVID-19. The victims include an Arlington man in his 40s and a Fort Worth man in his 70s. Health officials reported 68 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the county's total to 4,711 cases. As of Wednesday, 217 people remain in the hospital and at least 1,716 people have recovered.
  • On May 19: Tarrant County health officials said on Monday that two more people have died due to complications from COVID-19. 

    Those deaths include a woman in her 80s from Keller and a man in his 70s from Fort Worth. Both had underlying health conditions, the department said.

    County health officials have confirmed a total of 4,643 cases and 130 deaths since testing started in March. So far, 1,586 residents have recovered from the disease. 

  • On May 17: Tarrant County health officials said two more people have died and 97 more have tested positive for COVID-19. County health officials have confirmed a total of 4,447 cases and 123 deaths since testing started in March. So far, 1,470 residents have recovered from the disease. 

    There are currently 213 people hospitalized with the disease in the county.

  • On May 16: Tarrant County health officials reported 84 new cases of COVID-19 and one death. County health officials have confirmed a total of 4,350 cases and 121 deaths since testing started in March. So far, 1,470 residents have recovered from the disease.
  • On May 15: Tarrant County health officials reported 55 new cases and three more deaths. 
  • On May 14: Tarrant County health officials reported 135 new cases and 3 more deaths. The victims include a man in his 80s, a man in his 70s from Fort Worth, and a woman in her 80s from Keller. All had underlying health conditions, according to health officials.
  • On May 13: Tarrant County health officials reported five more deaths related to COVID-19. The patients include a man in his 80s, a man in his 70s and a man in his 50s from Fort Worth, a woman in her 80s from Keller and a man in his 50s from Arlington. All of the victims had underlying health conditions, according to officials. There were also 266 new cases confirmed in the county. According to Tarrant County Public health website, 153 of those cases are at a federal prison. This brings the countywide total to 4,076 cases and 114 deaths.
  • On May 12: Officials reported five more deaths, bringing the county's death toll from COVID-19 to 109 people so far. All but one of them had underlying health conditions. Three were from Fort Worth and two were from Arlington. The Fort Worth victims were a man in his 50s and a man and woman in their 80s. The Arlington victims were two men, one in his 50s and the other in his 80s. Sixty-five new cases were reported as well, bringing Tarrant County's total to 3,810, with 809 people having recovered so far.
  • On May 11: Another person has died in Tarrant County from COVID-19, officials said on May 11. The victim was a Keller woman in her 90s who had been a resident of a long-term care facility. Her death brings the county's death toll to 104 people. The county also reported 50 new cases and 26 new recoveries, bringing the respective totals to 3,745 and 806. Currently, 196 are hospitalized in the county, according to officials, a number that has dropped steadily for the last three days.
  • On May 10: There have now been 3,695 cases reported in Tarrant County, health officials said Sunday. Numbers from a large outbreak at a federal prison in the county have now been included in that total, so while the county reported 485 new cases Sunday, 423 of those were associated with the prison. County officials did not clarify if they were including more than one federal facility, though federal officials have reported a total of 627 cases at the Federal Medical Center Fort Worth prison. At least five inmates there have died from the disease. Federal Medical Center Carswell, also in Fort Worth, has reported one case so far. County officials also reported two new deaths from COVID-19 Sunday, a Bedford man in his 50s and a Kennedale woman in her 80s who been a resident of a long-term care facility. There have now been at least 103 deaths in the county from the disease and at least 221 people are currently hospitalized. At least 780 people have recovered so far.
  • On May 9: The number of coronavirus-related deaths in Tarrant County has surpassed 100. Saturday afternoon, health officials confirmed six more deaths, bringing the countywide total to 101. Officials say the victims include a man in his 70s, a woman in her 70s, a man in his 80s, and two women in their 80s. They are all residents of Fort Worth. A man in his 60s from Arlington also died. The six victims all had underlying health conditions, officials say. In addition to the new deaths reported Saturday, health officials also confirmed that 83 more people have tested positive for COVID-19. 
  • On May 8: Tarrant County has reached its highest number of single-day cases reported during the COVID-19 pandemic. Friday afternoon, Tarrant County health officials reported 171 new cases and five more deaths. This brings the countywide case total to 3,127 and 95 deaths. The record-high case number in Tarrant County was announced the same day that more businesses in Texas were allowed to reopen. 
  • On May 7: There were 143 new cases of COVID-19 reported and two additional deaths, health officials said. Thursday marks the county's second-highest day of cases reported. The county now has 2,956 positive cases of COVID-19.

    The two deaths were men in their 50s and 60s, one of whom had an underlying health condition. Tarrant County now has 90 confirmed deaths. There have been 682 recoveries.

  • On May 6: Eighty-eight people who lived in Tarrant County have now died from COVID-19, officials said. Five new deaths were reported by health officials, three from Fort Worth, one from Keller and the fifth from Benbrook. All five had underlying health conditions. The Fort Worth victims include a man in his 50s, a woman in her 70s and a man in his 80s. A Benbrook man in his 60s and a Keller woman in her 90s were the other two victims. 

    The county also reported 127 new cases, bringing the county's total to 2,813. More than 650 people have recovered so far. There are currently at least 246 people hospitalized from COVID-19 in the county, according to official data. That's nine more people than the day before, including 90 in ICUs.

  • On May 5: Six new deaths were reported by health officials, including four people from Fort Worth and one each from Keller and Grapevine. All six had underlying health conditions. The Fort Worth victims include both a man and woman in their 50s and two men in their 80s. The victims from Keller and Grapevine were both women in their 80s, officials said. The death toll is now 83 people from the county. The county also reported 62 new cases, bringing the county's total to 2,686. There have been 653 recoveries so far.
  • On May 4: Seventy-seven people have now died from COVID-19 in Tarrant County, officials said. The two latest victims are both men who had underlying health conditions. One was from Fort Worth and had been in his 60s. The other was from Benbrook and had been in his 80s. Officials also reported 40 new cases Monday, bringing the county's total to 2,624. Of those cases, 651 people have recovered. There are currently at least 198 people hospitalized from COVID-19 in the county, according to official data.
  • On May 3: Four more people have died from COVID-19 in Tarrant County, officials said, bringing the death toll to 75. All four people who died were from Fort Worth and included a woman in her 60s, a man and woman both in their 80s and a woman in her 90s. Three of them had underlying healthy conditions, officials said. The county also reported 81 new cases, bringing its case count to 2,584. So far, 613 people in the county have recovered from the disease.
  • On May 2: Two more deaths related to COVID-19 have been confirmed in Tarrant County, bringing its total to 71. The victims include a man in his 50s from Keller and a man in his 60s from Fort Worth. Officials say both patients had underlying health conditions. County health officials also announced 115 new cases, bringing the total count to 2,503. So far, more than 500 residents have recovered from the novel coronavirus. 
  • On May 1: One additional death was reported, bringing the countywide total to 69. Tarrant County health officials also announced 142 new cases of the novel coronavirus, the second-highest single-day tally reported in the county. There have been 2,388 total cases of COVID-19 reported in Tarrant County and 551 reported recoveries. 
  • On April 30: Health officials announced that seven more residents in Tarrant County had died from the novel coronavirus. The victims include three men in their 70s, a woman in her 80s, a man in his 50s, a woman in her 90s and a woman in her 80s. All were from Fort Worth and all had underlying health conditions. So far, 68 people in the county have died from COVID-19 and 387 have recovered. Officials also reported 97 new cases Thursday, bringing the total count to 2,246 
  • On April 29:Three more residents in Tarrant County have died from the novel coronavirus, health officials announced Wednesday afternoon.

    The victims include a woman in her 90s and a woman in her 30s, both from Fort Worth, and a woman in her 70s from Grapevine. All three women had underlying health conditions, officials said. So far, 61 people in the county have died from COVID-19 and 387 have recovered. Officials also reported 61 new cases Wednesday, bringing the total count to 2,149. Although Tarrant County’s stay-at-home order expires Friday, Taneja is urging residents to continue to stay home as much as possible.

  • On April 28: The Tarrant County Health Department reported 69 new positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases to 2,088. Five more people have died from the disease in the county. The victims include two men from Fort Worth who were both in their 60s, two Arlington women, one in her 90s and the other in her 70s, and a Grapevine man in his 80s. There have been 58 deaths in Tarrant County thus far. No new recoveries were reported.
  • On April 27: The county added 72 new cases, for a total of 2,019, with 165 people currently hospitalized. The new numbers come after the county had more than 110 new daily cases for four straight days, though Monday numbers are sometimes lower due to less testing or reporting on Sundays. Time will tell if the decline becomes a long-term trend.  No new deaths were reported and recoveries stand at 289 people so far.
  • On April 26: Another Fort Worth resident has died from COVID-19, health officials said. The latest victim was a man in his 70s. The county's death toll now stands at 53 people who have been lost due to the novel coronavirus. The county also reported 111 new cases for a total of 1,947 since the outbreak began, with 283 recoveries so far. 
  • On April 25: County health officials reported four more residents in Tarrant County have died from COVID-19. The victims include a man in his 60s  and woman in her 70s from Fort Worth, a man in his 40s from Azle and a woman in her 90s from Grapevine. The county also reported 130 new cases, bringing its total to 1,836.
  • On April 24: Three more residents in Tarrant County have died from COVID-19, officials confirmed Friday afternoon. This brings the death toll to 48. The victims include two men in their 60s and a man in his 80s. All three patients lived in Fort Worth, officials say. Tarrant County health officials also reported 147 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total case count to 1,706.
  • On April 23: Another person in Tarrant County has died due to the novel coronavirus, health officials announced Thursday. This brings the death toll to 45. The latest victim was a man in his 60s from Azle that had underlying health conditions, officials say. “Every death is regrettable and reinforces how important it is for everyone to stay the course and listen to our leadership,” Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja said. The county also reported 129 new cases, bringing the total count to 1,559.
  • On April 22: Tarrant County health officials reported two additional deaths Wednesday afternoon, bringing the total to 44. County officials say the two latest victims who died from COVID-19 had underlying health conditions. The victims are a man in his 80s who lived an unincorporated area of the county and a man in his 60s from Fort Worth.
    Officials also confirmed 97 new cases, bringing the case count total to 1,430. So far, 259 people have in the county have recovered from the novel coronavirus.  
  • On April 21: Tarrant County health officials reported three more deaths from COVID-19 on Tuesday. They include a Fort Worth woman in her 90s, a Fort Worth man in his 40s, and an Arlington man in his 90s. All had underlying health conditions.

    They also announced 84 new cases, bringing the total cases to 1,333.

  • On April 19: Another person has died in Tarrant County from COVID-19, officials said. She was a Fort Worth resident in her 50s and had had underlying health conditions. Her death brings the county's death toll to 39 people. The county has had 1,242 cases reported since the outbreak began, with 189 recoveries. "Sadly, we are seeing the number of deaths continuing to increase and seeing more families being affected by this virus,” said Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja. Thirteen of those 1,242 cases were new Sunday, prompting some to question how representative that count is of actual infections as more than 100 new cases were reported in Dallas County the same day.
  • On April 18: Tarrant County health officials have confirmed 3 more people have died from COVID-19. This brings the county's death toll to 38. According to county health officials, the latest victims include three women. One woman was in her 60s and lived in Fort Worth, another woman was in her 70s and lived in Mansfield, the third woman was also in her 70s and lived in Keller. Officials say two of the women had underlying health conditions.
  • On April 17: Tarrant County health officials announced the county’s 35th death and an additional 82 positive cases, bringing the county total to 1,175.
  • On April 16: Four more people have died from COVID-19 in Tarrant County, health officials announced Thursday. All of them were men and each had underlying health conditions. Two were from Fort Worth, one in his 60s, the other in his 40s. A Mansfied man in his 40s and a man in his 60s from an incorporated part of the county were the other two deaths, according to officials. The death toll in the county now stands at at least 34 people. 157 people have recovered from the disease so far.
  • On April 15: Officials reported 61 new cases and one more death in Tarrant County on April 15, bringing the total there to 990 cases since the outbreak began.
  • On April 14: Tarrant County health officials announced four more deaths related to coronavirus. They include a man in his 70s, two men in their 80s and a woman in her 80s. All had underlying health conditions. Tarrant County now has 29 confirmed deaths from coronavirus. Officials reported 53 new cases in Tarrant County as well, bringing the total there to 929 cases since the outbreak began.
  • On April 13: Officials reported 70 new cases in the county, bringing the total to 876 cases since the outbreak began. No new deaths were reported, and 103 people have recovered since contracting the disease, according to county numbers. When it came to hospital beds, 113 COVID-19 patients were currently hospitalized in the county, officials reported.
  • On April 12: Tarrant County health officials reported 22 new cases of COVID-19 on April 12. Officials said the county's total had now been 806 positive cases since the outbreak began.
  • On April 11: Tarrant County health county officials confirmed four more people died from COVID-19. This brings to the total number of county deaths to 25. Three of the patients were from Fort Worth. One man who died was in his 60s, another man was in his 70s and a woman who died was in her late 40s. The fourth patient was in his 80s and lived in Sansom Park. Officials say all the patients had underlying health conditions.
  • On April 10: Tarrant County health officials confirmed another person died from the novel coronavirus. The patient was a Lakeside man in his 80s who had underlying health conditions, officials said. So far, 21 people in Tarrant County have died. 
  • On April 9: Tarrant County health officials confirmed another person died from COVID-19. The 20th person to die in the county is a Fort Worth woman in her 60s who had underlying health conditions, officials say.
  • On April 8: Tarrant County health officials confirmed another person has died from COVID-19. A Euless man in his 30s with underlying health conditions is the 19th person in the county to die, officials say. Health officials also reported 71 new cases, bringing the county's total to 588.
  • On April 7: Tarrant County health officials confirmed five more residents have died from COVID-19. This brings the total number of deaths in the county to 18. According to county health officials, the patients’ ages ranged from 47 to 88 years old and two people had underlying health conditions. Two patients lived in Fort Worth, one person lived in River Oaks, one lived in Grand Prairie and one lived in Haltom City. The county also reported 62 new cases, bringing the total to 517. Fifty-three people have recovered.
  • On April 6: Tarrant County officials reported 34 new cases and two new deaths, for a total of 452 cases and 13 deaths. One of those who died was an Arlington man in his 40s, while the other was a Fort Worth man in his 60s, health officials said. They did not specify if either had any underlying health conditions. 
  • On April 5: Tarrant County reported 14 new cases and two new deaths, for a total of 418 total cases and 11 deaths. One of those who died was an elderly woman who had been a resident of the Heartis Arlington senior living center. She had been hospitalized since she became ill, health officials said.

    An elderly Fort Worth man was the other victim of the disease, officials said. He had had underlying health conditions, according to officials. He died in a local hospital.

    Health officials believe both patients contracted the virus through community transmission.

  • On April 4: Tarrant County health officials confirmed two more residents have died after testing positive for COVID-19. County health officials told WFAA one of the patients who died was a Southlake man in his 70s who had underlying health conditions. The other patient was a Haltom City man in his 30s and did not have any underlying health conditions, officials say.
    According to Tarrant County health officials, both patients contracted the virus through community transmission. Health official said as of Saturday evening, 21 new positives cases were reported for a total of 404.
  • On April 3: Tarrant County health officials confirmed that another resident has died after testing positive for COVID-19. Public Health Director Vinny Taneja said the patient was an adult who was a Fort Worth resident with underlying health conditions. Officials did not release additional details about the patient in an effort to protect their privacy.
  • On April 2: Health officials announced three more people in the county had died from the disease, bring the death count to six people. Two of those who died were residents of Forest Hill and one was a Fort Worth resident, according to officials. All three were elderly and had underlying health conditions. Officials also reported 37 new cases, bringing the total to 325. 23 people so far have recovered from the disease.
  • On April 1: Health officials said there had now been 288 positive cases reported in the county. 18 people in the county so far have recovered, while three have died.
  • On April 1: Tarrant County health officials confirmed two additional deaths related to COVID-19. One patient was a male from Hurst and the other patient was a female from Fort Worth, officials say. Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja said both of the patients had underlying medical conditions before testing positive for the novel coronavirus. This brings the total death count to three in the county.
  • On March 31: Health officials confirm there are now 273 total cases of COVID-19 in the county. Officials did not release additional details regarding the new cases. So far, one patient has died and eight people have recovered from the novel coronavirus.
  • On March 30: Officials confirmed 16 news cases in Tarrant County, bring the total to 155. In addition, officials reported an additional 83 provisional cases. Provisional cases are lab-confirmed, but are pending due to missing investigational data, according to Tarrant County officials. 
  • On March 29: County officials said they had 11 new cases reported, bringing the total to 139 in the county. 
  • On March 28: Officials stated there were a total of 128 cases of the novel coronavirus. They did not release additional details regarding the new patients. 
  • On March 27: Tarrant County health officials confirmed 14 new cases of COVID-19. This brings their total case count to 114.  
  • On March 26: Health officials said the county had reached the 100-case mark for COVID-19, an increase of 10. Fort Worth and Arlington currently have the most active cases, with 33 and 16 respectively. The county has a total of 96 active cases.
  • On March 25: The number of cases in Tarrant County increased by 19 to a total of 90, county health officials said. Of those 90, 86 were active cases.
  • On March 24: Cases increased by 14 to 71, county health officials reported. Of those 71, 67 were active cases, three people have recovered and one person who had the disease has died, according to health officials. The death occurred in Arlington on March 15, where there are 14 active cases at this time. A Southlake resident is the latest person to have recovered.
  • On March 23: The number of cases in Tarrant County increased by 10 to 57, county health officials reported. Of those 57, 54 were active cases, 2 people have recovered and one person who had the disease has died, according to health officials.
  • On March 22: Cases jumped from 29 positive cases to 47, a 62% increase. Of those 47, 44 were active cases, 2 people have recovered and one person who had the disease has died, according to health officials. The death occurred in Arlington, where there are 11 active cases at this time. One person in both Benbrook and White Settlement has recovered, county health officials said. There are 14 active cases of the disease in Fort Worth, four in Mansfield and three in Southlake. There are two each in Colleyville, Euless, Lakeside and North Richland Hills. Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Keller and Watauga each have one case, according to the county.
  • On March 20: Tarrant County health officials confirm there are 10 new cases of COVID-19. Four of the people who recently tested positive live in Arlington, two live in Fort Worth, two live in Lakeside, one lives in Euless and one in Keller. Officials also say two patients who had COVID-19 have recovered from the disease.  
  • On March 19: Tarrant County health officials confirmed 10 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of cases to 19. Officials say this includes an Arlington man who died Sunday. The new confirmed cases include patients who live in Arlington, Colleyville, Fort Worth, North Richland Hills, Mansfield, and Watauga. County officials say they are investigating how the patients became infected but confirm some of the cases are travel-related. 
  • On March 18: Tarrant County officials confirm two more positive cases of COVID-19. One of the patients had traveled out of state but travel history of the other case is still pending, officials say. “Both of these cases have been isolated at home after developing symptoms,” said Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Taneja. County leaders did not release any other details regarding the patients' ages.
  • On March 17: Health officials said a Grand Prairie resident who had no known exposure to another person with COVID-19 and no recent travel history contracted the new coronavirus in the county. It was the sixth case of the disease in the county and "the first case of presumed local transmission."
  • On March 16: Tarrant County officials said a fifth person was a positive case of COVID-19. They didn't release many about the individual citing HIPAA, but said the Tarrant County resident had traveled out-of-state recently and then developed symptoms when they returned.
  • On March 14: Tarrant County officials confirmed a fourth person tested positive for COVID-19. Officials said the patient was in close contact with an American Airlines pilot who tested positive earlier in the week.
  • On March 13: Tarrant County officials confirmed two more positive cases. The second patient traveled from Europe, according to officials. The third patient was in close contact with a case out of Collin County, which officials say "indicates limited local transmission in the DFW area."

  • On March 10: Tarrant County Public Health reported its first case of COVID-19. The patient was identified by diocese officials on March 11 as a rector of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fort Worth. He recently traveled to Kentucky for a conference and it is believed he contracted the novel coronavirus there, officials said.
