ARLINGTON, Texas — Arlington police issued a traffic alert Tuesday afternoon for South Cooper Street, where downed power lines had shut down the street.
As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, all lanes were closed from Arkansas Lane and Mayfield Road. It may be several hours before the road opens, police said, and officers were asking drivers to please avoid the area and use Matlock Road as an alternate route.
