Suspect in San Antonio facing charges after allegedly sexually assaulting a one-year-old

Tristen Stadel, 18, is charged with super aggravated assault of a child. An arrest affidavit says he wouldn't discuss the incident but that he "knew it was wrong."

SAN ANTONIO — An 18-year-old is facing charges after police say he sexually assaulted a one-year-old.

Tristen Stadel is charged with super aggravated assault of a child. According to an arrest affidavit, the victim's parents noticed the toddler was acting strange and didn't want to be touched. The child was taken to the hospital where bruises and other injuries were observed. 

Officers said Stadel wouldn't discuss the incident but stated several times, "I knew it was wrong". The affidavit states stadel knew the victim.
