DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department is searching for information about a vehicle and suspect that allegedly hit and injured a motorcycle officer in the process of speeding away from a traffic stop Tuesday.

Dallas police responded at about 8:40 a.m. to the 4200 block of N. Jim Miller Road where they say a driver in a black Dodge Charger left the scene of a traffic stop, going northbound on Jim Miller Road.

The officer was treated for minor injuries at a local hospital and released.

The vehicle is described as having faded, matte paint on the hood, blacked-out taillights, a baseball cap on the front dashboard and custom tailpipes, police say.

Police found the license plate was not registered to the vehicle.
