SHERMAN, Texas — A Carrollton man has been convicted on charges of possession of child pornography, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Eric Victor Henry Blood, 43, was arrested in May 2022 after Homeland Security executed a search warrant at his home.
Prior to his arrest, detectives received a tip from Google that his email address was used to upload images and videos of child porn onto a cloud storage account.
According to documents filed in federal court, Blood admitted to using that Google account. After collecting evidence, detectives discovered child pornography files on multiple devices owned by Blood.
The case went to trial on Dec. 11, and the jury returned with a guilty verdict the following day.
On Wednesday, Blood was found guilty on three counts of transportation of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
He faces up to 20 years in prison. A sentencing date is yet to be set by U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant.
