Want the perfect pair of vintage jeans, plus a confidence boost? Meet Dallas' famous 'Denim Whisperer'

"I have no idea how I do this, actually!" Caitlin Brax told WFAA of the gift that's made her a viral sensation.

DALLAS — Off Henderson Avenue in Dallas, in a sea of sequin tops, cowboy boots and vintage furs, you'll find a woman named Caitlin Brax -- and a whole lot of denim.

Brax owns AAVintedge. Her store is known for the denim it carries, but she is famous for the denim she fits.

Brax doesn't take measurements or ask shoppers for their size.

"I usually ask do you want them baggy? Fitted? Low or high?" you might overhear her asking her clients.

All it takes is five seconds; she'll ask you to spin.

"So, give me a spinny, let me look right here," she asked a client.

"Just give me just one second, I got you covered!" she said as she headed to pull pieces.

All it takes for her to fit a woman with the perfect pair of jeans is a quick visual assessment.

"That’s the one, honey!" she told a client.

Her unique, in-demand gift has earned her a unique title.

Brax is known around the world and all over the internet as "the denim whisperer."

"It’s just been the name for me forever," she said.

"I have no idea how I do this, actually!" she told WFAA of her special gift.

And what Caitlin Brax does is way more than a party trick. She not only finds you jeans that fit great, but she also creates a space that will make you feel great.

"You know sometimes people walk in and they're like, 'I hate this, I hate trying on jeans, I'm such a hard size!" she said. "And they’ll start, from the get-go, berating themselves. I think having dealt with my own body image issues growing up, it’s really important to me we don’t feed into that."

That’s why there’s no sizes. Not even petite or plus size racks.

"I want my clients to feel they’re not categorized," she said.

Store manager Megan Ditto said they have the best jobs.

"[Clients will come in and] say, 'I know my hips are weird, and I have a weird body shape, and I'm hard to fit." Ditto explained.

"We’re like no, you’re fine, you’re perfect we will get you in your perfect jeans! Their face when they find a pair that really fits well and makes them really happy and feel good when they've never had that before is unmatched," Ditto said.

"I don’t want to be that I’m some savior," Brax said. "I want it to look like this woman had all this potential she didn’t know about, and we just helped her."

The jeans at AA range from $48 to $98. But getting that help, in feeling strong, sexy and stylish -- that's priceless.
