Capital murder warrant issued for suspect in connection with double homicide in Irving, police say

Police say Hactor Matute (aka Hector Paguada) is wanted for the Friday shooting.

IRVING, Texas — An arrest warrant has been issued for a man wanted in connection to a double homicide in Irving Friday night, according to police. 

Officials say 32-year-old Hector Matute (aka Hector Paguada) now has a Capital Murder warrant for the deadly shooting.

The shooting was reported at 8:50 p.m. in the 2000 block of West Irving Boulevard

Police have identified the shooting victims as 55-year-old Juana Medina Rodriguez and 23-year-old Nayeli Bolanos Medina. According to officials, Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene and Medina died from her injuries at a local hospital.

Police believe Matute know the victims but the motive for the shooting is not clear at this time.

Anyone with information about Matute whereabouts is asked to contact your local authorities immediately. If he's seen, Irving police ask witnesses not to confront him.
