ARLINGTON, Texas — The American Western Weekend is back and bigger than ever with an adrenaline-packed celebration of sports and entertainment.

Pop star Post Malone is set to perform at Globe Life Field in Arlington.

The Grapevine native returns to his hometown with a spot on Billboard's country charts under his belt after releasing his first country single, “Pickup Man.”

“We are very excited to welcome Post Malone to his hometown of Dallas/Ft Worth to add to the party happening around The American Western Weekend,” said Deirdre Lester, CEO of Teton Ridge. “His energy and drive are very much aligned with the passion that The American Rodeo provokes with rodeo fans and athletes.”

The rodeo kicks off March 8 – 9 and includes legendary musical performances and rodeo competitions.

The rodeo is bringing some of the biggest names in the sport as well as amateur rodeo athletes together for a unique competition. The American Rodeo is the only rodeo in the PRCA with a Contender Tournament, meaning amateur athletes compete for the opportunity to dethrone rodeo’s top professional athletes.

Country music star Luke Bryan is scheduled to play the opening night of the event on Friday, with Post Malone set to take the stage Saturday night.

Post Malone is also set to sing "America The Beautiful" at this year's Super Bowl in Las Vegas. He will also perform at the Stagecoach Festival in late April 2024.

Tickets are on sale now for Friday and Saturday night performances. You can purchase tickets here.
