FORT WORTH, Texas — A man accused of raping a woman at gunpoint near a Fort Worth bar in 2022 pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault and a jury sentenced him to 55 years in prison, court records showed this week.
The incident happened June 27, 2022, near the 900 block of Foch Street in Fort Worth’s popular West 7th entertainment district, WFAA reported at the time.
A woman at the time reported a man threatened her with a gun and raped her, police said.
Detectives at the time reviewed nearby camera footage and conducted surveillance, and police say Caylon Washington was arrested in connection with the case three days after the assault.
