DENTON, Texas — The Denton Police Department is investigating a suspicious death after a body was found in the shed of a vacant house.
On Jan. 17, officers received a call for an "unconscious person" in the 900 block of Monterey Drive. When they arrived, they discovered the body of 44-year-old Melonie Frye.
Police did not provide any further identifying information like race or other physical details of the woman. The medical examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of her death.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
