TYLER, Texas — A local business owner is raising money to help a family of four after the father passed away from a terminal illness.
Local Tyler restaurant, Caribbean Kitchen, decided to step in and lend a helping hand by raising money for the family in need.
"The funds will help with her children, help with childcare and paying for their mortgage...something to keep her afloat. It may not be much but, it's something," Caribbean Kitchen owner Jenn Blake said.
Blake also mentions she donated food to the family and has raised $2,600 so far.
