DALLAS — Attention all dinosaur enthusiasts, amateur paleontologists and Jurassic Park fans: The largest dinosaur experience in the country is coming to Dallas next month.

Jurassic Quest showcases a herd of photorealistic dinosaurs for visitors to walk through, with creatures ranging across 165 million years of the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Leading paleontologists were enlisted to help bring the dinosaurs' likenesses, movement and sound to life.

The experience opens Friday, March 8 at Centennial Hall in Fair Park, 1001 Washington St., and will remain open through Sunday, March 10.

Along with the life-like dinosaurs, Jurassic Quest features rideable dinosaurs, live dinosaur shows, and activities like a fossil dig -- as well as real fossils like a life-size dinosaur skull, a triceratops horn and T-Rex teeth.

This year, Jurassic Quest is adding more hands-on activities, like an expanded excavation station, a self-guided scavenger hunt, as well as more rides and inflatables. The animatronic herd has also expanded, adding the Utahraptor and the Gigantosaurus.

Tickets can be bought in advance at www.jurassicquest.com, or on-site. The exhibits will be open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Jurassic Quest first opened in 2013 and has seen more than 10 million visitors in more than 250 cities across the United States and Canada.
