Denton County firefighter hospitalized after off-duty motorcycle crash, Argyle Professional Firefighters Association says

DENTON COUNTY, Texas — An off-duty Denton County firefighter was hospitalized after he was injured in a motorcycle crash, the Argyle Professional Firefighters Association Local 5190 announced Friday.

Corey Claytor, a firefighter with Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1, was injured in the crash late Friday, according to the organization.

“Corey is hospitalized with multiple injuries to his head, neck, and right leg,” Argyle Professional Firefighters President Sam Johnson said in a statement. “Corey is currently heavily sedated and will require surgery, but his doctors are optimistic about his recovery. Our brother, his family, and friends need the thoughts and prayers of our community and beyond.”
