The Crowley Police Department responded to reports of "shots fired outside a residence" in the 900 block of Skelly just before 1 p.m.

When officers arrived, they attempted to stop the driver of a stolen vehicle trying to escape from the scene. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Fort Worth.

The driver refused to pull over and a chase ensued.
