FRISCO, Texas — There’s an opening date for a new Tom Thumb store in Frisco.

A new store at 11401 Coit Road in Frisco is set to open April 17, a Tom Thumb spokesperson confirmed. The new Frisco Tom Thumb store will anchor the Lexington Valley shopping center being built by Centergy Retail at the corner of Coit Road and Eldorado Parkway.

It’s one of three new Dallas-Fort Worth-area locations in the works for the supermarket chain. Two other stores are under construction in Forney and Waxahachie.

Tom Thumb already has stores at 4848 Preston Road and 5550 FM 423 in Frisco, according to their website.

Tom Thumb is owned by Albertsons Companies, which also operates Albertsons, Safeway, Randalls, Market Street, and United Supermarkets.

H-E-B is also planning to open a Frisco store this year at U.S. 380 and FM 423. The Texas chain already has a Frisco location at 4800 Main Street.
