Omni Hotels and Resorts confirms it was the victim of a cyberattack

The company says most of its systems have since been restored and an investigation into the cyberattack is ongoing.

DALLAS — Dallas-based Omni Hotels and Resorts says it was the victim of a cyberattack that led the company to shut down its systems late last week.

“Upon learning of this issue, Omni immediately took steps to shut down its systems to protect and contain its data,” Omni said in a statement. “As a result, certain systems were brought offline, most of which have been restored.”

Omni said in a statement that most of its systems have been restored since the cyberattack Friday. Omni says it’s working with a leading cybersecurity response team, and an investigation into the attack is ongoing.

“As our team works diligently to restore the remainder of the systems to full functionality, we continue to welcome our guests and accept new reservations,” Omni said in a statement. “We apologize for the disruption and inconvenience this cyberattack is causing. The care and comfort of our guests remains our highest priority, and we are grateful for the hard work of all of our teams who are doing everything possible to deliver the Omni experience expected by our guests.”

Omni Hotels and Resorts operates more than 50 hotels across the U.S. and Canada, according to their website, including the Omni Dallas Hotel downtown, the Omni Las Colinas Hotel, the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star, and the Omni PGA Frisco Resort.
