ARLINGTON, Texas — A 62-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a Ford F150 in a grocery store parking lot in Arlington Wednesday, police say.

Police responded to the crash at the store in the 2300 block of SE Green Oaks Boulevard shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday.

“Investigators believe the driver of a 2007 Ford F-150 was traveling south in the parking lot towards the front entrance of the store, came to a stop near the end of the row, and then turned to go eastbound,” police said in a news release. “As he was turning, he struck the woman who had just exited the store and was walking in the parking lot.”

The woman, later identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as Linda Brown, was taken to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries, police say.  The driver of the truck stopped and rendered aid and is not facing charges in connection to the crash, police say.

This is a developing story. WFAA will update this story as additional information becomes available.
