Officials say they responded at approximately 12:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, to the 4400 block of South Marsalis Avenue for a shooting call.

When police arrived to the scene, they say they found 30-year-old Shaketta Johnson shot in a parking lot. Dallas Fire Rescue was then called to the scene, but Johnson was eventually pronounced dead.

Investigators say Johnson was inside her vehicle when two suspects shot into the car multiple times. The suspects then reportedly left the scene in a blue Mazda sedan and a black Mercedes.

Dallas Police has released photos of the suspects and the blue Mazda. The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Keylan Bowens and 24-year-old Denute Bell.

On Friday, April 19, police shared that they arrested Bowens. He was reportedly taken to Dallas County Jail on a murder charge.

Police say they still have an active arrest warrant for Bell.
