DALLAS — Surprise, surprise: We have a lot of mosquitoes around here.

North Texas is entering that time of year when those pesky, biting bugs start buzzing. And if you've spent at least one summer here, you won't find this shocking: Dallas-Fort Worth ranks third in the U.S. in a new study on mosquito-infested cities.

That's according to the bug control company Terminix, which pulled from its own service data from last year.

Los Angeles topped the list, followed by New York City. Atlanta checked in at fourth behind North Texas, followed by Philadelphia, Washington, Houston, Tampa, Orlando and San Francisco.

Yes, we even have more mosquitoes than Houston ... according to Terminix.

Texas ranked second in the state rankings, behind California.
