Texas firefighters save kittens from house fire caused by lightning strike

Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 were happy to report that both were "feline" fine.

BARTONVILLE, Texas — Two North Texas kittens were saved from a house fire reported to be caused by a lightning strike on Saturday morning. 

Denton County Emergency Services District No. 1 said its firefighters responded at approximately 8:52 a.m. Saturday to the 1000 Block of Timberidge Lane in the town of Bartonville for a structure fire. Crews found a light haze of smoke in the garage, and during their investigation of the fire, found two kittens in the garage.

The crews were able to secure the two kittens and return them to the home owner.
