FORT WORTH, Texas — A body was found in the Trinity River in east Fort Worth on Monday morning, police said.

Officers were dispatched around 11:30 a.m. to an area of the river near Interstate 30 and Riverside Drive, where someone notified them of a body in the water. The person has not been identified yet, and police are still investigating the case.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office will work to determine the cause of death and the person's identity, police said.

More information about the case was not released.
